My story: Matt Smith
Matt spent the last three years working on farms in Australia and applied while abroad.
Joining the Service was always something he wanted to do, so he kept an eye out for recruitment opportunities and spent time on his application.
Matthew said: “I’ve always wanted to join the fire service since leaving school and even did a two year Public Services course at college to help my chances.”
Since passing his training, Matt has joined Bath fire station.
