Full time or Wholetime firefighters ensure our busiest fire stations are crewed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As well as responding to everything from fires to road traffic collisions, they also spend a lot of time in working in the community to provide advice and education to help prevent emergencies happening in the first place. My name is James Roberts and I have been working for Avon Fire & Rescue Service as a Control Firefighter, based at our Fire Control Room in Lansdown, for nearly two years.

My name is Kirsty Nelmes and I’m a firefighter on Bedminster Green Watch. I joined Avon Fire & Rescue Service in January 2022 and have loved every minute so far.
